Coral reefs are particularly vulnerable to the effects of human activities, both through direct exploitation of reef resources, and through indirect impacts from adjacent human activities on land and in the coastal zone.
Our 50/50 coral reef illustrations show the completed form of the coral with one side drawn in its natural beauty and, the opposite side, drawn using plastic pollutants and other discarded waste that are endangering reefs worldwide.
