WHAT OUR WINNERS SAY

2025 Winner, Daisy Nesbit

I just have no words. Thank you so so so much for such an incredible experience. Everyone took care of us so so well, underwater and above ground, and we all had so much fun – professionals through and through. I truly can’t describe the underwater world just yet but it was unlike anything I could have ever imagined or dreamed of!

2024 Winner, Cohen

It totally surpassed anything we expected. The people, the island, the wildlife, everything was magical. It’s a life changing trip that changed me and my girlfriend’s’s view on wildlife and marine conservation. Seeing a healthy island and its wildlife was a once in a lifetime chance for both of us and we are so grateful to have had this opportunity!

I would say to anyone considering joining, pour in all your love and time.

2023 Winner, Emma Batty

I wanted to express my gratitude to the Co-Exist team—your program really pushed me into this field. Winning the Co-Exist contest taught me to apply for everything—nothing to lose, everything to gain. I’ve been accepted to universities like Monash, University of Sydney, and James Cook to study conservation/marine biology. I wanted to share the impact you have made on me and life. The trajectory of my career and path has drastically changed, my activism has become more serious and I truly believe I can grow in this industry.

MEET OUR FOUNDER, SARAH

Sarah Geron, founder of Co-exist Projects, discovered her passion for the ocean at just 4 years old while snorkeling in the Maldives with her father.

Captivated by her first glimpse of a shark, she developed a lifelong fascination with marine life. Now a certified divemaster, Sarah travels internationally to engage in marine research and conservation efforts.

In 2020, at age 15, Sarah launched Co-exist Projects to support scientists and educators in making a positive impact. Over the past five years, Sarah has dedicated herself to funding and supporting marine conservation and education initiatives worldwide.
